In Kugels and Collards: Stories of Food, Family, and Tradition in Jewish South Carolina, Barnett and Harvey celebrate the unique food history of Jewish South Carolina. Featuring more than eighty recipes —including Jewish staples like kreplach dumplings, southern favorites such as peach cobbler, and modern fusions like grits and lox casserole—from seventy contributors, Barnett and Harvey explore the African American and regional influences of cherished dishes.
